Artificial intelligence is gaining momentum. It’s everywhere, and 91% of French people have already heard of it, according to a survey conducted by the Think and Do Tank Impact AI and supported by IFOP. The survey also reveals that 1 in 2 French people claim to know exactly what it is. However, only 27% of them use products or services powered by AI in their personal lives. In the professional world, this figure drops to 16%. Artificial intelligence remains unclear to the French: Over two-thirds of French people say they are poorly informed about artificial intelligence. Yet, 76% of respondents recognize that AI will play a role in the future. In the workplace, people are paying attention to the topic, with 2 out of 3 employees wanting to be better informed about the implications and applications of AI in their professional lives. Nearly half of the French believe that AI improves work performance, and 42% think it enhances well-being at work. Conversely, 42% believe AI will have rather negative consequences for job security, which is gradually fading. The health crisis to the rescue of artificial intelligence: "While the health crisis has accelerated digital adoption, this new edition of the Impact AI barometer shows it has also helped shift French perceptions of artificial intelligence. Whether in their professional or personal lives, the French now largely see AI as a path to progress, provided its uses are framed within a trusted environment. For the past three years, our collective has been committed to developing responsible AI, which represents a major challenge for the French and society as a whole." — Agnès Van de Walle, President of the Impact AI collective and Director of Partner and Startup Engagement at Microsoft France. The value of artificial intelligence for businesses: Today, the adoption of modern, high-performance technologies to process company-specific data is on the rise (Smart Business, Big Data, AI, etc.). The efficiency and accuracy achieved by the human brain are far surpassed by these automated processes. A large company, where most work is done online, can generate nearly 2.5 trillion bytes of data every day (Google, Yahoo, Twitter, etc.). Leveraging new technologies allows them to establish a strong foothold in an ultra-competitive job market. As a result, artificial intelligence enables faster decision-making across all areas: customer service, marketing, management, and more. The benefits of artificial intelligence: Many companies have integrated artificial intelligence at the core of their operations. This choice has allowed them to:

  • Better analyze and decode market demands
  • Create innovative products
  • Offer new services tailored to customer needs
  • Provide services that balance company interests and customer expectations
  • Launch products and services quickly to outpace competitors
  • Build stronger customer relationships
  • Secure significant profit margins
  • …

The future of artificial intelligence in business: Artificial intelligence has transformed work methods, and this innovation promises a bright future. Companies will not be able to do without AI, given the time and money it saves. Any business that hasn’t yet adopted these modern techniques will eventually regret it. From a competitive standpoint, only companies that embrace innovative technologies can thrive in the market.
